The Secret of Power

The SECRET of Power

Many forms of power are obvious. There is widespread recognition of the power of an erupting volcano, the power of crashing waves, the power of a raging windstorm, the power of a speeding train, the power of a galloping horse, or the power of an exploding bomb.

Because those forms of power are obvious, those forms contrast with any power that is secret. A power that is secret (as in not widely recognized as powerful) may be openly used with little or no risk of being recognized as the use of power. If people do not recognize something as the use of power, then they are less likely to withdraw from it, to defend against it, to counter it or to use it themselves.
